Job summary

Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) seeks a motivated E&I Engineering Tradesperson in Kwinana to maintain plant reliability. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, order parts, and contribute to a strong safety culture while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Cert IV in Electrical – Instrumentation, hands-on maintenance expertise, and a focus on safe work practices within a large industrial setting.

Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) is a joint venture between CSBP (75 per cent) and Coogee Chemicals (25 per cent). CSBP, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wesfarmers Limited, acts as the operating and sales agent for AGR. Based in Kwinana, Western Australia, AGR has safely and reliably manufactured and supplied sodium cyanide to gold mines across Western Australia since 1988, and to gold and silver mining operations internationally since 2002.

About the role

We’re seeking a motivated and safety-focused E&I Engineering Tradesperson to join our maintenance team and help ensure the reliability and availability of our plant operations. You will be responsible for executing both planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure optimal plant reliability and availability, while contributing to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement

Key responsibilities will include:

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance to support plant reliability.
• Execute maintenance plans, work to schedules and order parts to support execution of maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with operations teams to fault-find and resolve equipment issues
• Conduct safety assessments including JSAs, work permits, and pre-starts.
• Record all maintenance activities using company systems (SAP)
• Suggest and implement cost-effective improvements.

About You

To be successful you will have the following:

• Cert IV in Electrical – Instrumentation.
• Sound and comprehensive expertise on overhauling and repairing a wide range of equipment onsite.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, compare and act on information from a range of sources.
• Proven problem-solving and task improvement skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, including compliance with safety procedures, hazard identification, and participation in safety initiatives
