Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of structural maintenance and remediation works.
• Facilitate pre-starts and ensure critical controls are in place.
• Supervise contractors to meet safety, quality, and technical standards.
• Deliver work per AIMS, site procedures, and Australian/ISO standards.
• Ensure ITPs are completed, verified, and signed off.
• Monitor progress, cost, and productivity; escalate issues early.
• Manage Week 0 execution and contribute to Week +1 to +4 planning.
• Close out work packages with accurate documentation.
• Maintain cross-shift communication and handovers.
• Drive safety culture through visible leadership and accountability.
• Support inspections, defect ID, and incident investigations.

About Our Client

Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Execution Supervisor, you will lead structural remediation and maintenance activities across site, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, disciplined execution, and the ability to manage contractors and competing priorities in an operational mining environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading daily execution of structural maintenance, coatings, access, and concrete remediation works


• Facilitating structured pre-starts and ensuring critical controls are in place


• Supervising contractors to meet safety, quality, and technical standards


• Delivering work in line with AIMS, site procedures, and Australian/ISO standards


• Ensuring all ITPs are completed, verified, and signed off


• Monitoring progress, cost, and productivity while escalating issues early


• Managing Week 0 execution and contributing to forward planning (Week +1 to +4)


• Closing out work packages with accurate documentation


• Maintaining strong cross-shift communication and handovers


• Driving safety culture through visible leadership and accountability


• Supporting inspections, defect identification, and incident investigations


• Building strong relationships across CHPP, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams

What You Will Need

• Mechanical trade qualification or Engineering background (minimum requirement)


• Solid experience in asset integrity, maintenance, or heavy industry environments


• Proven ability to lead contractors and deliver large-scale maintenance/remediation works


• Strong safety focus with structured and disciplined work practices


• Ability to manage competing priorities and make confident decisions


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• Experience in coal mining, CHPP, or processing environments (highly regarded)
