The Engineering Production Worker role supports day-to-day production at the Thuringowa Central facility, shaping, cutting and assembling metal components to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, operating CNC and brake presses, welding, and coordinating with the team to meet production schedules.

About the Position:

The Engineering Production Worker plays a key operational role in the day-to-day manufacturing of aluminium canopies, toolboxes, trailers and related products at the Thuringowa Central facility. This position involves performing a range of production process tasks to shape, cut, assemble and finish metal components, ensuring efficient workflow, consistent quality and timely delivery of both standard and custom-built items that are central to the company’s market leadership and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting engineering production drawings, schematics and work instructions to guide fabrication tasks
• Setting up, operating and adjusting production plant and machinery (including CNC equipment, brake presses and cutting tools) to shape aluminium stock, cut sheet metal and produce components
• Operating welding and related plant to join and assemble aluminium products to specification
• Monitoring production processes, making adjustments as needed and performing quality checks to maintain standards
• Assisting with the finishing, assembly and preparation of completed canopies, toolboxes, trailers and custom items for despatch
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply
• AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant engineering, manufacturing or metal fabrication field.
• At least one year of relevant experience in metal production or fabrication environments, ideally involving aluminium or sheet metal processes
• Technical skills in interpreting drawings, operating production machinery (including computer-controlled equipment where applicable) and performing accurate cutting, shaping and assembly tasks; strong attention to detail, ability to work safely with tools and plant, and effective teamwork and communication skills
