As a Machine Learning Engineer at MYOB, you will design, build, and scale AI-driven applications that support our SaaS business management platform for small and enterprise businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

The Role

As a foundational member of the AI team, you’ll shape the technical vision, lead a small team of engineers, and build systems that directly impact customers’ success.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement machine learning systems from the ground up, focusing on large language models and foundation models tailored to small business needs.
• Develop and deploy AI-powered features for automated document understanding, financial forecasting, and conversational interfaces.
• Optimize AI systems for scalability, safety, and reliability.
• Bring ideas from concept to production in a dynamic environment.
• Lead projects end‑to‑end, implementing MLOps best practices for robust and efficient solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with LLMs and foundation models (GPT, Claude, Llama).
• Thought leadership and experience mentoring, coaching, or leading others.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, S3) and cloud‑based architectures.
