Job summary

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is offering an Apprentice Boilermaker (Welder) position in St Peters, NSW. You will learn welding, steel fabrication, and reading technical drawings while working with experienced tradespeople.

This apprenticeship provides mentoring, training on modern fabrication techniques, and a supportive safety-focused environment. Earn while you learn on tier 1 construction projects and gain valuable trade skills.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Completion of Year 10 High School.
• Driver's Licence desirable but not essential.
• Willing to undertake police check and pre-employment medical if required.

Responsibilities

• Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task.
• Cutting, rolling, shaping, heating, or hammering metal products to produce parts.
• Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines.
• Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
• Adding finishing touches to products in the form of cleaning, polishing, filing, and adding protective or decorative finishes.

Join a leading engineering and fabrication team delivering complex, custom-built projects across construction, infrastructure and industrial sectors. You'll gain hands-on experience in welding, steel fabrication, reading technical drawings, operating workshop machinery, and assembling high-quality fabricated components.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople and mentors, you'll develop valuable trade skills while contributing to innovative projects and learning modern fabrication techniques in a supportive, safety-focused environment.
