Job summary

Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a pool of Engagement Officers for Regional Learning Initiatives across the Goldfields, Midwest and Pilbara regions. The roles involve advising schools on community engagement, implementing engagement strategies, and building regional interagency links with significant travel to remote communities.

Appointments may be permanent or fixed term, full-time or part-time, with travel and interagency collaboration at the core of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to regional/remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to schools on developing and sustaining community engagement procedures.
• Lead and support the implementation of engagement procedures and processes in schools.
• Assist in building and maintaining positive school–community partnerships.
• Collaborate to develop regional interagency and cross-sector links for engagement.
