Job summary

SmartestEnergy Australia is seeking a Market Operations Coordinator to deliver retail market and billing activities from onboarding to offboarding. The role sits in the Commercial Department, Retail Operations, reporting to the Market Operations Technical Lead.

Based in Sydney or Melbourne with a hybrid working arrangement, you will manage data accuracy, invoicing, and third-party interactions to ensure compliant, timely outcomes and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years’ experience in operations, ideally in the retail energy industry or in telecommunications.
• At least 1+ years’ working with an outsourced third party to deliver customer operation services and benefits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.
• Able to manage additional corporate responsibilities outside of the normal job scope.

Responsibilities

• Onboard customers by handling market interactions, data accuracy and validation, B2B transfers, and metering installations.
• Ensure timely monthly invoicing with third-party billing and back-office partners; manage accounts to meet KPIs.
• Liaise with outsourced billing and back-office partners to deliver timely responses within regulated timeframes; manage relations.
• Support compliance with industry regulations and maintain accurate records and reports.
