Qualifications

Around 4–7+ years’ experience in market risk, trading risk, commodities risk or a related area.
Strong exposure to energy, electricity or commodities markets.
Good understanding of wholesale electricity markets and trading risk.
Experience with VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, sensitivities and risk limits.

Responsibilities

Provide independent Line 2 market risk oversight across commodities and energy trading activity.
Monitor and challenge trading exposures, risk limits and positions against risk appetite.
Support the development and enhancement of market risk frameworks, limits and controls.
Analyse VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, sensitivities and earnings-at-risk.
Assess trading and portfolio risk across energy and commodities products.
Work closely with Front Office, Treasury, Finance and Risk stakeholders.
