Job summary

Aurora is seeking an Analyst to support energy asset valuation and economics projects in Australia. You will work in a collaborative advisory team, conducting data-driven analyses and scenario modeling for clients in energy markets.

You will develop core consulting skills while engaging with government bodies, investors, banks, and utilities. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and practical problem solving within project teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in STEM or business field.
• Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex information.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with a range of people.
• Demonstrated quantitative ability and problem-solving skills.
• Evidence of working effectively in teams.
• Fluency in a second language is beneficial but not essential.
• Skills in data analytics and related software such as Python, Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Passion for sustainable solutions, green energy transition, economics, data analytics, software, strategy, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Apply developed study skills to solve clients’ interesting and intricate problems.
• Execute bespoke consulting projects for clients across Aurora’s Australia business.
• Conduct valuations of energy assets.
• Model bespoke scenarios and asset configurations.
• Analyse and forecast asset economics for investors, banks, developers, and utilities.
• Work with governments and regulators on designing and evaluating energy policy.
• Participate in live client projects.
• Contribute to influential industry reports.
• Build analytical, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Work in project teams consisting of Analysts, a Project Manager, and a Senior Associate providing oversight.
• Collaborate with a variety of Aurora experts across the Advisory team.
