Job summary

Datacom is hiring an Endpoint Engineering Specialist to manage day-to-day endpoint systems, deliver end-to-end client support, and lead projects as needed. The role prioritises exceptional customer experience and collaboration within a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Intune, MECM, AVD, and PowerShell, with at least 2 years in SOE migrations or projects. AU citizenship and Baseline/NV1 clearance are noted requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in endpoint engineering and SOE management.
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Strong knowledge of Intune and Endpoint Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, upgrade, and improve end-user configurations (policies, firmware, drivers).
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with timely, professional responses.
• Operate as part of a high-performing team and contribute to service improvements.
• Lead and assist with deployments and migrations of endpoint environments.
• Document designs, how-tos, and roadmaps; maintain risk registers and tickets.
• Travel to Datacom sites or customer sites as required.

About the Role

The Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practices to follow and implement. The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience. You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. As an Endpoint Engineering Specialist/SOE Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise. You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom’s endpoint customer base.

Please note to be successful in this role you would need to be an AU Citizen and able to obtain a Baseline or NV1 clearance.

What You Will Do

As an Endpoint Engineering Specialist/SOE Engineeryou will be focused on:

• Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune)
• Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
• Operate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
• Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release).
• Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
• Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
• Assist with projects as required and act as the lead

• Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles
• Occasional travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.

What You Will Bring

Required experience:

• Related experience in endpoint engineering and SOE management
• Related experience working for a Managed Service Provider
• Strong Technical Knowledge of Microsoft Intune including Autopilot Deployment and Development

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
• Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
• Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
• Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
• Exceptional knowledge of Windows Modern Desktop technologies
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
• Minimum 1+ years' experience in MECM

Nice to have:

• Citrix experience
• Experience with M365 would be advantageous
• Good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications
