Job summary

Suncorp is seeking a GHG Accounting Advisor to own the end-to-end GHG reporting process, from data collection to disclosures. You will work across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, ensuring governance, data quality and accuracy for internal reports and public disclosures.

You’ll partner with Underwriting, Investments, Finance and Procurement, handling data governance and taking a lead in cross‑functional committees. Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne location.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in GHG accounting, carbon accounting, sustainability or related analytics.
• Hands-on GHG accounting experience and experience completing a reporting or disclosure cycle.
• Strong knowledge of GHG Protocol and PCAF requirements across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyse GHG data to support accurate Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting.
• Coordinate source data across investments, energy, supply chain, purchased goods and services.
• Support public disclosures, internal reporting, third-party assurance and audit activities.
• Partner with data owners and stakeholders to strengthen data quality, controls and reporting processes.
• Maintain GHG data within Watershed and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality.
• Provide GHG insights and contribute to relevant committees, working groups and stakeholder discussions.
