Job summary
Northern Health in Melbourne is seeking an EMR Development Analyst to join the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team within Digital Health. You will analyse, design, build, configure, test and convert the EMR, focusing on clinical workflows and optimization, working closely with clinical staff.
You will review existing workflows, contribute to improvements, and apply emerging EMR build tools to enhance functionality, usability and performance.
Qualifications
- A tertiary degree in healthcare, or science related field (equivalent).
- Clinical or health background with an interest in computerised workflows, best practice, innovation, clinical documentation and healthcare informatics.
- Demonstrated experience working in a metropolitan hospital environment and understanding of clinical workflows in the acute and subacute inpatient settings.
- Experience using common business analysis software such as Microsoft Visio and excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and triage defects during the testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, design, build, configure, test and convert the EMR at Northern Health.
- Review existing workflows and content to optimise current workflows and design new clinical workflows.
- Collaborate with EMR team, service departments and clinical staff on EMR-related matters.
- Maintain a strong clinical workflow knowledge and business analytic skills, and learn emerging EMR build tools.
