Job summary

Life Skill Disability Support in North Lakes, QLD is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers for immediate start across the Moreton Bay region. You will provide person-centred assistance, help participants with daily living, community access and meaningful activities, while maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working with Children Check/Blue Card where required
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
• Relevant evidence of identity and working rights
• Additional screening, training or competency requirements relevant to the participants they will support

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living activities
• Assist participants to access the community and attend appointments
• Encourage independence, choice and skill development
• Support social participation and meaningful activities
• Provide personal care and household assistance where required
• Follow participant support plans and risk-management strategies
• Complete progress notes and required documentation
• Communicate effectively with participants, families and the support team
• Respond calmly and professionally to changing situations
• Maintain professional boundaries and safeguarding participant rights
