genU is seeking an Employment Consultant to support participants in the Workforce Australia program, helping them become job ready and confident in their abilities.

You'll work with participants to understand goals, promote their skills to employers, and connect them with training and supports for long-term success. Experience in customer service or employment consulting is preferred; MS Office and case management skills are valued.

MatchWorks is looking for an Employment Consultant who is passionate about helping people achieve their employment goals and supporting them on their journey to meaningful work. In this role, you'll build strong relationships with participants, understand their skills, experience, and goals, and provide practical support to help them become job ready and confident in their abilities.

As part of genU we're a profit-for-purpose organisation. We do this through programs and initiatives including our government-funded Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) and Workforce Australia services.

What you'll do

As an Employment Consultant in our Workforce Australia team you'll:

• Work with your participants to understand their strengths and goals to match them with the right employment opportunities
• Bridge the gap between job seekers and local employers by promoting their unique skills and strengths
• Link participants with training, health, and community supports for long-term success
• Support participants to develop practical career plans that unlock their potential and boost confidence

What you'll bring

• Highly developed communication skills to provide relevant supports to participants and external stakeholders
• Ability to provide accurate and timely documentation and compliance records in accordance with Workforce Australia requirements
• A collaborative team member who brings professionalism, positivity, and a mature approach to teamwork

(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)

• Experience in a customer service, recruitment or employment consultancy setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
