Hey you!
We're looking for a resilient, outcome-focused Employment Consultant to join our Workforce Australia team at MatchWorks. You'll support participants to overcome barriers to employment, build engagement and make progress towards sustainable employment outcomes.
This is a rewarding but challenging role that requires equal parts empathy, resilience and accountability. You'll work with participants facing complex personal, social and employment barriers, including individuals who may be disengaged, resistant to support or uncertain about their next steps. Success in this role comes from building trust, having honest conversations, maintaining accountability and helping people make practical steps towards employment goals, even when progress is difficult.
As an Employment Consultant, you’ll:
Support participants to identify and address barriers impacting their employment goals.
Build engagement with participants through regular coaching, encouragement and accountability.
Navigate challenging conversations and support participants who may be reluctant or resistant to change.
Connect participants with employers, training opportunities and community supports.
Manage a caseload while maintaining compliance, accurate records and employment outcomes.
Confidence building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Resilience and professionalism when working with challenging, complex or disengaged individuals.
The ability to motivate others, influence behaviour and encourage positive action.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A practical, solutions-focused approach with a focus on achieving outcomes.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
Experience in Employment Services, case management, community services, corrections, healthcare, rehabilitation or similar fields.
Experience supporting people facing barriers, disadvantage or complex challenges.
At MatchWorks, we’re committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and respectful space where everyone is empowered to play their part in the important work that we do.
We welcome diversity in all its forms including disability, culture, gender, age, sexuality and religion and celebrate the unique perspectives and experience each of us brings.
