Job summary

Uniting is seeking a Home Care Worker to support elderly clients in Bondi, Waverley, Maroubra, Matraville, and City. This permanent part-time role offers flexible hours Monday to Friday and involves in-home care to empower independence and enhance quality of life for clients in their own homes.

The position requires a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent, with preferred prior care experience, a valid Australian driver’s license, and access to a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred.
• Empathetic and resourceful, aligning with Uniting’s values.
• Flexible to accommodate evolving needs and schedules of clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal care: assist with hygiene, showering, dressing, meals, and medication administration.
