Job summary

A government health department in Victoria is offering nursing students a chance to gain hands-on clinical experience through the AIN Partnership Pathway program. Overview

Welcome to the AIN Partnership Pathway! This program offers nursing and midwifery students the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in clinical settings while progressing toward their qualifications.

Requirements
  • Evidence of enrolment and academic progress in one of the following NMBA‑approved programs:
  • Diploma of Nursing – completion of Stages 1 and 2 (66% completion)
  • Initial registration qualification leading to registration with the NMBA as a registered nurse and / or midwife (50% completion)
  • Ongoing: Provide updated evidence of current enrolment and progression each semester for the duration of the fixed‑term contract, or if seeking to continue engagement on a casual basis.
Application Documents
  • Resume (PDF or Word format)
  • Transcripts showing completion of:
    • Stage 1 and 2 of Diploma of Nursing (66% completion)
    • 50% completion of initial registration qualifications leading to registration with the NMBA as a registered nurse and / or midwife
  • Evidence of current enrolment (current transcripts)
  • Two referees including a clinical reference from an RN / CN / SDN from a recent placement (referees must have work email addresses)
Work Expectations

Casual: Assigned to work on a variety of wards across RPBG (may change day by day). Must be available a minimum of 1 day per week.

Fixed‑term contract: Assigned to a single ward (must be available a minimum of 2 days per week).
