Job summary

Animal Referral Hospital in Brisbane is seeking Emergency and Critical Care Nurses (ECC) for part-time and casual roles. You will work closely with ECC veterinarians and specialists, delivering hands-on nursing support for a diverse range of emergency cases.

You’ll be mentored by the ECC Team Leader and Nursing Manager, joining a team that values exceptional patient care, collaboration, and a little fun. The role offers on-the-job training, opportunities to grow, and a staged move to our new ICU

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with 3+ years in busy GP or referral/emergency.
• Availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Friendly, easy-going, able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong work ethic, efficiency and multitasking.
• Experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions.
• Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring and care of critical/ventilated patients advantageous.
• Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow and Idexx blood machines advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy ED.
• Support ECC veterinarians and specialists with patient care.
• Assist with anaesthetic monitoring and critical/ventilated patients.
• Contribute to growth with new ICU unit and ongoing training.
