Greencross's Animal Referral Hospital Canberra is seeking experienced Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Nurses for full-time and part-time roles. You will deliver exceptional nursing care, support veterinarians, monitor patients, and assist in surgical and critical care cases.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years clinical experience in Emergency or busy GP.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency and hospitalised patients.
• Support veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in surgical and critical care cases as required.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during stressful situations.
• Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards and safety procedures.
• Contribute positively to team culture and knowledge sharing.
