Animal Emergency Centres (AECs) invites an Emergency Veterinarian to join the Frankston team on a full-time or part-time basis. You will cover weekends, days, nights and public holidays, with opportunities for travel across sites.

You’ll work in a high-energy, supportive environment with experienced mentors and access to cutting-edge equipment. This role suits vets with 2+ years’ experience, emergency exposure, and a passion for helping pets and their families during critical moments.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree eligible for registration in Victoria.
• Minimum 2 years of veterinary practice with emergency exposure preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and compassionate in high-stress situations.
• Strong communication with team, clients and referring vets.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours emergency veterinary care across shifts.
• Manage and triage a diverse emergency caseload.
• Collaborate with vets and nurses to deliver optimal care.
• Utilize advanced monitoring and in-house diagnostics as needed.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Veterinary degree available for registration in Victoria
• 2+ years of experience
• Previous emergency veterinary experience highly desirable
• The cool-headedness to remain calm and compassionate in stressful situations
• Outstanding communication skills to connect with colleagues, pet owners, and referring veterinarians
• An unwavering passion for helping people and their pets during their most critical moments
