Job summary

ME Medical Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Emergency Medicine Specialist for a hospital 3.5 hours drive from Melbourne. The health service serves a large regional population and has a brand new ED on campus.

The role offers opportunities for education and growth within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide specialist emergency medicine services, participate in teaching of medical, nursing and allied health students, and supervise staff.

Qualifications

• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine.
• Recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills across IT, written and verbal.
• Commitment to teaching, education, research and quality improvement.
• Availability for on-call roster and on-site response.

The Specialist will be a valued member of the Emergency Department.

The role is to provide specialist emergency medicine services to patients in our area
To participate in the education of medical, nursing and allied health students.
To supervise medical staff in Emergency Medicine.. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

Mandatory

• 1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine.
• 2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
• 3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
• 4. Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• 5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
• 6. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.

The health service serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the border . With a dedicated team of over 3,000 professionals, we proudly service a population of up to 300,000 across North-East Victoria and Southern NSW.
