Job summary

NSW Health's NSLHD invites applications for a Post Graduate Fellow in Emergency Medicine at Northern Beaches Hospital. This temporary full-time position (up to 20 hours per week) provides a transition role between fellows and specialists, with supervision and opportunities in teaching, research, and quality improvement.

The Fellow will deliver clinical care under supervision, participate in on-call rosters, and contribute to education and interprofessional collaboration within the NSLHD facility.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or recognition as a specialist (or eligible within 6 months).
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge in Emergency Medicine with involvement in quality assurance.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and participate in teaching and research.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and treatment of patients as a delegate of the specialist medical officer under supervision.
• Contribute to teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within NSLHD.
• Participate in on-call service under supervision as needed.
