Job summary

Skilled Medical is seeking a General Practitioner / Senior Medical Officer (GP/SMO) for Western NSW hospitals. The role includes daily ward rounds from 0800 to 1700, onsite care, and an after-hours on-call commitment, with MDT reviews for inpatient concerns.

The position runs during a defined block schedule and includes accommodation and travel support. VRGS telehealth enables 24/7 remote assistance for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Specialist in General Practice with GP/SMO eligibility.
• Willing to work shifts including on-call after hours.
• Experience in emergency medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• GP VMO daily ward rounds 0800–1700 hours, onsite, then overnight on-call.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and review inpatient concerns.
• Provide emergency, acute care, imaging and pathology support with VRGS assistance.
