Job summary

Goulburn Hospital in New South Wales is seeking an experienced ED Medical Officer or ED Registrar to cover the afternoon In Charge shift from 14:00 to 00:00. This role supports the emergency department during a busy period with a focus on safe, efficient patient care.

The successful applicant will bring strong emergency medicine skills, be able to lead junior staff and coordinate with nursing teams, and must be prepared for shift-based work with travel accommodation provided by NSW Health.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency medicine in a hospital setting.
• Able to assume ED afternoon shift in charge.
• Demonstrated clinical competence for ED registrar/MO role.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED medical officer coverage for afternoon shift 14:00–00:00.
• Act as In Charge during shift and coordinate ED operations.
• Support nursing and junior staff as required.
