Job summary

Sante Recruitment is seeking a confident and compassionate Career Medical Officer to join the Emergency Department of a regional health service on the Barrington Coast of New South Wales.

As a Career Medical Officer within the Emergency Department, you will provide hands-on, generalist emergency care to a diverse regional population, working with Emergency Physicians, senior medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to assess, manage and coordinate patient care.

Qualifications

• General Registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum 3 years' postgraduate medical experience.
• Recent and relevant experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong generalist clinical skills and sound clinical judgement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality assessment and management of patients in the ED.
• Manage a broad range of emergency and acute medical presentations.
• Collaborate with Emergency Physicians and senior medical staff.
• Coordinate patient care and investigations, treatment and disposition.
• Maintain high standards of documentation, communication and patient safety.
• Contribute to a positive ED culture.
