Job summary

Contour Education in Sydney is seeking a passionate tutor to lead maths classes for high school students. You will teach a 2-hour weekly small-group session, mentor students, and help them prepare for internal assessments and HSC exams. You’ll engage with learners, adapt explanations, and support diverse abilities to unlock their potential.

This founding NSW role offers growth into curriculum development, leadership and subject advisory opportunities within Contour's student-first mission.

Qualifications

• 98+ ATAR with Band 6 in HSC Maths Advanced and/or E4 in Maths Extension 1 or 2.
• Love of teaching and ability to explain concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Teach: run a 2-hour weekly small-group class.
• Engage: lead classes with discussion, diagrams and videos.
• Mentor: act as teacher, coach and role model for students.
• Support: address misconceptions and provide individualized help.
• Prepare Them to Perform: ready students for internal assessments and HSC exams.
