Job summary

Downer Professional Services is seeking an Electronic Warfare and Sensors Engineer to support the design, integration and assurance of advanced naval radar and EW systems for Defence projects. You will review designs, assess performance and help deliver complex maritime capability programs in collaboration with Defence stakeholders and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Communications Engineering.
• Experience with electronic warfare, radar or sensor systems engineering.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave systems, radar principles and EW fundamentals.
• Understanding of EMC/E3 principles within complex platforms.
• Experience with requirements management, traceability and verification activities.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent design assurance across electronic warfare and sensor systems.
• Review complex engineering designs and assess performance.
• Support integration activities and verify Defence requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews and milestone testing.
• Manage technical risks and ensure compliance with governance.
