Job summary

Fletcher International Exports in Dubbo NSW seeks an Electronic Instruments Trades Worker (Special Class) to maintain and repair electronic instruments and control systems, and to transmit and receive radio messages. You will diagnose faults, replace worn parts, install systems and support equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have electrical or mechatronics background, trade/diploma qualifications, and at least two years of experience.

Electronic Instruments Trades Worker (Special Class)

Your work will be challenging, and the successful applicant will be required to work in industrial manufacturing and agricultural environments to meet strict maintenance deadlines. Our facility has not only meat processing facilities but also a grain terminal and harvesting facilities, your role will require you to work with grain harvest commodity facilities providing you with a varied range of tasks. An advanced knowledge and all-round ability to carry out a variety of tasks with flexibility and willingness to learn is preferred.

About the role

We are looking for an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (Special Class) to maintain, adjust and repair electronic instruments and control systems, and transmit and receive radio messages.

Tasks

examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults

adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments

reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment

advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions

installing electronic instruments and control systems

applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems

Skills and experience

Applicants will need to possess recent experience in Electrical or Mechatronics background with trade/diploma qualifications and at least two years of work experience in the industry along with.

Good knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of electrical/mechanical systems.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, manuals and OEM guides.

Working knowledge of diagnostic, mechanical and electrical tools and equipment.

Able to service and support equipment, including mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs.

Must be a team player.

Registration or licensing may be required.
