Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking an Electrician to join the CSI Electrical Services Team on a FIFO from Perth. The role covers multiple sites in the Goldfields region and will involve operating and maintaining diesel generators, along with routine inspections and system monitoring.

You will bring extensive experience in power systems, fault finding, and a safety-first approach. The position offers full-time hours, site-based training, and opportunities for career development within the MinRes group.

Qualifications

• Must have Australian electrical trade qualification.
• Active electrical license in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of power systems and control circuitry.
• Extensive experience with diesel generators and power stations.
• Proficient fault finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with CMMS such as Pronto is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain diesel generators and related equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on generators and ancillary systems.
• Monitor power generation using software-based systems and address reliability issues.
• Maintain stock inventory and participate in on-call rosters.
• Support other MinRes employees and contractors while adhering to HSE policies.
• Contribute to site housekeeping and safety practices.

About The Opportunity

CSI Mining Services are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team for current and future opportunities. This role is a full‑time position and can allow you to grow your skill set with on‑site training and the opportunity to develop your career on the tools and as a leader. This role will be a 2/1, day shift only roster, FIFO out of Perth, as an Electrician for the CSI Electrical Services Team covering several sites in the Goldfields Region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain diesel generators
• Undertake routine inspections and maintenance on the diesel generators and ancillary equipment
• Monitor power generation operations via software‑based systems, ensuring that the site is operating as required, including identifying any short‑ or long‑term plant reliability issues, or improvement opportunities that may be present
• Undertake typical housekeeping duties
• Maintain stock inventory
• Support other MRL employees and/or contractors conducting works on power generation equipment, ensuring MRL HSE policies and procedures are being adhered to
• Participate in On Call activities when rostered on site, ensuring prompt response is given to any issue that may arise after hours

What is required

• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Ability to work autonomously in remote locations
• Extensive experience and sound knowledge of power systems and control circuitry
• Previous experience in running and maintaining Diesel Generators
• Previous experience operating a power station
• Knowledge and experience using COMAP Synchronising controllers and systems
• A high standard of fault finding and trouble‑shooting ability
• Australian recognised Electrical trade qualification
• Previous experience with a CMMS such as Pronto (desirable)
• Current Electrical License
• HV Switching Certificate
• Current Australian Driver's License
• Construction Induction Card
• First Aid, CPR & LVR
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
• Ability to meet pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screening requirements
