Gransolar Group is seeking Electricians for a substation project in Bungendore, NSW, with a 14/7 roster and single accommodation. The role covers on-site electrical construction, installation and commissioning, with emphasis on safety and quality in HV switchgear, cabling, and testing.

You will work closely with supervisors and engineers to deliver compliant outcomes, with DIDO/FIFO options and a competitive pay package.

Qualifications

• Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
• State Electrical license (SA).
• High Risk Work license preferred.
• Background in utility or industrial electrical projects.

Electricians are required for Substation project based in Bungendore, NSW 45 minute drive from Canberra.

You will be involved in all phases of on-site electrical construction, installation, and commissioning activities for the Electrical Substation project.

Working closely with project supervisors and engineering teams, you’ll ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.

This role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of HV equipment, components, and switchyard construction
• Earth grid installation, HV & LV cabling installation,
• Structure and HV switchgear installation,
• Primary connections, busbar, and strung bus installation
• HV switching, testing, construction, and maintenance experience (highly regarded)
• Secondary protection, control systems, communications,
• SCADA installation Experience in 220kV / 330kV / 500kV substations, solar farms, BESS farms, or collector substations

Requirements

• Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Ideally hold High Risk Work license.
• State Electrical license (SA)
• Background in utility or industrial electrical projects
• Strong commitment to safety (zero harm)
• DIDO or FIFO available
• 14/7 Roster
• Single accommodation Provided
