Job summary

Fusion People is supporting a leading electrical contractor delivering complex power, communications and infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial and mission-critical sectors. They are seeking an experienced Electrician to join their team on high-value projects such as data centres and critical power installations.

You will install, test, commission and maintain electrical systems, read drawings, and work with project teams to meet milestones while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Trade qualification and current electrical licence.
• Experience on commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Data centre or switchboard experience is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Commitment to safety and high workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

The Role:

Working alongside highly skilled electricians, supervisors and project teams, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems across a range of major projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and terminating power, lighting and communications systems
• Switchboard installation, upgrades and modifications
• Cable tray, conduit and cable installation works
• Testing, commissioning and fault finding of electrical systems
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and project documentation
• Installation of critical power and backup power systems
• Data centre electrical fit-outs and infrastructure installations
• Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and site safety requirements
• Working closely with project managers and site supervisors to meet delivery milestones
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship across all projects

About You:

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

• Electrical Trade Qualification with a current Electrical Licence
• Experience working on commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects
• Previous switchboard, controls or data centre experience highly regarded
• Strong understanding of electrical installation and commissioning practices
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and within a project team environment
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to project success
