Job summary

Coates Hire is seeking an Electrician based at Erskine Park, Sydney, to service and repair electrical components of equipment and ensure the branch is ready for hire. You will work with the mechanical team to keep equipment electrically safe and ready for customers.

Your day-to-day includes service and maintenance of a wide range of electrical plant, calibrations, fault finding, and maintaining stock of spare parts.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade certificate with electrical licence required.
• Licence minimum: Restricted Electrical or A Grade; strong mechanical skill.
• Forklift and EWP tickets desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain electrical plant and equipment at the branch.
• Carry out electrical calibrations on equipment as required.
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics and rectify faults.
• Keep customers notified about service requirements.
• Assist in maintaining stock of electrical spare parts.

Job description

• Monday toFriday roster, 7am start

As an Electricianbased at Coates Erskine Parkyou will be responsible for the servicing and repair of the electrical components of equipment, ensuring equipment at the branch is ready, fit, and safe for hire. Work alongside the mechanical team, ensuring our equipment is electrically ready for hire.

Your typical day will focus on:

• Service and maintenance of a wide range of electrical plant and equipment at the branch
  Carry out electrical calibrations on equipment as required
• Repair equipment as necessary following accepted trade practices maintaining a high standard
• Undertake electrical fault finding and diagnostics, rectify faults as required
• Keep customers notified and up to date in relation to their equipment service requirements
• Assist in maintaining correct levels of required electrical stocks of spare parts

What you’ll bring to the role

• Mechanical Trade Certificate with a minimum Restricted Electrical Licence or “A” Grade Electrical Licence with proven strong mechanical skill set
• Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance on access, materials handling, power generation, dewatering, earthmoving and other construction plant & equipment
• Customer orientated approach
• Forklift and EWP ticket (desirable)
