Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced Electrician for a utility-scale solar farm in Wellington, NSW. The role focuses on operation and maintenance to maximise performance, reliability and safety across critical renewable energy infrastructure.

You will perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, PV system testing, SCADA monitoring support and MV/HV switching where authorised. A Grade A Electrical Licence and Certificate III in Electrotechnology are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, utilities or renewable energy maintenance.
• Must have electrical licence and relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding, inspections and preventative maintenance
• Testing and maintenance of PV systems and associated equipment
• Monitoring plant performance and responding to site alarms
• Supporting SCADA monitoring and performance reporting

Electrician – Utility Scale Solar Farm

$120-130k + super (contract considered at $65ph)

38 hour week

10% performance bonus

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a leading renewable energy business to recruit an experienced Electrician for a utility-scale solar farm in Wellington, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing industry, working on critical renewable energy infrastructure where you'll play a key role in maintaining plant performance, reliability and safety.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the solar farm, carrying out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure maximum site performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Electrical fault finding, inspections and preventative maintenance
• Testing and maintenance of PV systems and associated equipment
• Monitoring plant performance and responding to site alarms
• Supporting SCADA monitoring and performance reporting
• MV/HV switching operations (where authorised)

About You

• Current Grade A Electrical Licence
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology
• Experience in industrial, utilities or renewable energy maintenance

Desirable

• MV/HV switching experience or qualifications
• Experience on utility-scale solar, wind or BESS projects
