Job summary

Zeal Personnel is seeking Electricians to work on a FIFO basis for an initial 6-month assignment out of Dampier, WA. On offer is a 2 and 1 rotation from Perth.

You will test and commission electrical equipment, read diagrams, and diagnose faults on LV MCCs, transformers, VSDs, switchboards and related systems. This role requires WA standards knowledge, current Rio Tinto inductions, Senior First Aid, LVR and CPR, with a focus on safe, reliable operations in mining environments.

Qualifications

• Testing and commissioning electrical equipment including LV MCCs, transformers and VSDs.
• Reading single line diagrams, schematics, and termination drawings.
• Proficient with electrical tooling and measuring equipment (multi-meters, insulation testers).
• Diagnosing faults and tracing electrical issues.
• Repairs and replacement of faulty wiring and components.
• Familiar with WA electrical standards and statutory requirements.
• Current Rio Tinto inductions; Senior First Aid, LVR, CPR.

Our client seeks Electricians to work on a FIFO basis for an initial 6 month assignment out of Dampier. On offer is a 2 and 1 rotation from Perth.

About You

• Experienced with testing and commissioning electrical equipment including LV MCCs, Transformers, VSDs, Distribution boards, Control panels, LV cables, LV motors, UPS, Battery chargers, arc flash relays, Lighting, HVAC, Fire & Gas and CCTV.
• Experienced with reading single line diagrams, schematics, termination drawings, earthing drawings, loop diagrams and DC system drawings.
• Experience with using electrical tooling.
• Experienced with measuring equipment including multi-meters, insulation resistance testers, phase sequence meters and clamp on meters.
• Experience with tracing and diagnosing electrical issues/faults.
• Experience with repairs, replacement of faulty wiring and defective parts.
• Familiar with Electrical standards and WA electrical statutory requirements
• Current Rio Tinto Inductions
