Job summary

Mammoth Underground in Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to maintain underground electrical infrastructure, ensure safety, and support reliable production. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, fault testing, and collaboration with production teams in a dynamic mining environment.

This full‑time position offers 7/7 rosters with FIFO or DIDO options and modern camp facilities in Blackwater, including meals.

Qualifications

• Must be a trade-qualified Electrician with underground coal mining experience.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.
• Experience maintaining electrical systems in challenging underground environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot underground electrical equipment and power systems, performing preventative maintenance.
• Follow mining electrical legislation, site procedures, pre-starts, and risk assessments; keep records.
• Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment; support upgrades to power, comms, and control infrastructure.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Electrical Tradesperson to join our underground operations team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of our electrical infrastructure to support efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot underground electrical equipment and power systems, completing preventative maintenance and ensuring all work meets required standards.
• Follow all mining electrical legislation and site procedures, complete pre‑starts and risk assessments, and keep accurate records.
• Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment, and support upgrades to power, communication, and control infrastructure.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams, provide technical support, and contribute to continuous improvement.
