Qualifications

• Interest in electrical work and heavy machinery.
• Experience as a Trade Assistant or in an industrial environment is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical tools and components is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and tradespeople with electrical maintenance, repairs and equipment overhauls.
• Support servicing and maintenance of underground coal mining machinery.
• Assist with dismantling, inspecting, cleaning and reassembling electrical components.
• Prepare tools, materials and equipment for maintenance and repair work.
• Assist with fault-finding and replacement of electrical components under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
