Job summary

Sydney Airport is seeking an Electrician Technician to join the team responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that keeps the airport operating smoothly. This 6-month max-term contract role focuses on support of the Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), ensuring reliability and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Electrical Trade Qualification with post-trade training or certifications.
Experience maintaining and fault finding on conveyor or material handling systems.
Experience with SCADA/PLC systems in high-security environments such as airports.

Responsibilities

Oversee electrical maintenance of Baggage Handling Systems to support continuity of service.
Carry out fault finding, emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on BHS equipment.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth system performance, including during contingencies.
Provide technical input to resolve complex system issues and support operational decision-making.
