Fortescue is seeking an Electrical Systems and Integration Engineer to support the launch and ramp-up of Fortescue Zero BEV power systems in the Pilbara. You will collaborate with site teams, OEMs, and international engineering groups to ensure safe, reliable operation of vehicle electrical systems and power systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical, electronic, mechatronic or control systems engineering.
• 2+ years in electrical systems, controls, integration or commissioning.
• Able to interpret electrical schematics, fault codes and logs.
• Experience in commissioning and root-cause investigations in mining or heavy equipment.
• Experience with battery-electric vehicles or high-voltage systems.
• CAN systems experience and related diagnostics.
• Knowledge of Vector CAN tools (CANalyzer/CANape).
• Understanding of change control, configuration management, safety and quality processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across teams.

Responsabilités

• Support electrical systems integration, commissioning and handover of Fortescue Zero power systems.
• Provide on-site technical support to resolve BEV electrical issues.
• Diagnose faults using schematics, fault codes, logs and diagnostic tools.
• Investigate recurring issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical reports with evidence and recommendations.
• Support electrical and software corrective actions per change control.
• Record commissioning results and fault histories for product improvement.
• Coordinate with site personnel, OEMs and internal stakeholders on defects and actions.
• Verify repairs and integration changes through functional testing under safety rules.
