Job summary

Alinta Energy is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to support two GT13E2 gas turbines and a 100 MW / 213 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Wagerup site, located near Waroona, about 90 minutes from Perth, with a four-day on-site week.

You will operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA and control systems, participate in outages and on-call roster, and work closely with a collaborative team to deliver safe and reliable

Qualifications

Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) or equivalent.
Experience in power generation, renewables, mining, heavy industrial or process plant environments.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting across electrical, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA and control systems.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain and troubleshoot gas turbine generating units, electrical systems and BESS assets to maximise plant reliability and performance.
Perform fault finding and maintenance across electrical, instrumentation, control and plant systems.
Support operation and optimisation of battery storage technologies and associated control systems.
Participate in planned and unplanned maintenance, outages, HV switching and emergency response activities.
Participate in on-call roster to support plant operations.
