Electrical Manufacturing Workshop Manager
Up to $190k base + super + Company Vehicle
About the Role
Our mining client is seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Manufacturing Workshop Manager to lead and optimise their manufacturing workshop based in Perth.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will oversee the full manufacturing lifecycle, from production to testing, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, electricians, assemblers, and apprentices
- Plan, schedule, and prioritise manufacturing jobs and workflows
- Ensure manufactured electrical products meet quality standards and specifications
- Oversee testing, assembly, and commissioning of electrical components or systems
- Maintain and manage workshop tools, machinery, and inventory
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and best practices for workshop operations
- Work with engineering, production planning, and quality assurance to drive process improvements
- Provide technical guidance and problem‑solving for complex manufacturing issues
- Manage cost control, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll Need
- Electrician or Electrical Engineer, with equivalent minimum manufacturing experience of 10 years
- Strong leadership and team‑management experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in workshop operations and production planning
- Excellent understanding of electrical manufacturing processes, safety standards, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, or P&IDs
- Strong organisational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, lean) is a plus
- Experience managing budget, inventory, and workshop resources
