Job summary

Terra Verde is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to lead electrical planning, design coordination and delivery across temporary infrastructure and major construction works for the Suburban Rail Loop project in Melbourne.

You will oversee design development through installation, commissioning and operation, guiding teams across engineering, plant and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient execution.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in electrical engineering within major infrastructure and tunnelling.
• Proven ability to lead design, installation and commissioning phases.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical safety regulations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical engineering works across construction plant, temporary works and supporting infrastructure.
• Oversee electrical design development, technical reviews, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Manage temporary electrical infrastructure, including power distribution systems, substations, switchboards and associated installations.
• Provide technical guidance for electrical systems supporting tunnelling operations and major construction equipment.
• Coordinate electrical design and construction interfaces across engineering, plant, temporary works and construction teams.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications and construction methodologies for compliance with project requirements.
• Manage electrical subcontractors, consultants and specialist suppliers to meet safety, quality and programme objectives.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, design issues and construction interfaces.
• Ensure electrical works comply with relevant Australian Standards, statutory requirements and project safety procedures.
• Support procurement, technical evaluations, resource planning and programme development.
