Job summary
South32’s Worsley Refinery in Western Australia is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Technician for a permanent, 42-hour week rotating day/night roster. You will join the Electrical Maintenance team across refinery and port operations, ensuring safe equipment performance and reliable plant operation.
The role requires an Electrical Trade certification, Instrumentation training, and experience with PLC/DCS and hazardous environments.
Qualifications
- Electrical trade certified with an unrestricted electrical license.
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation with practical experience.
- Experience with high/low voltage, switchgear, VSDs and motor control centers.
- Experience working a rotating shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns and restore plant equipment safely and promptly.
- Diagnose, repair and test instrumentation (Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Density).
- Maintain and repair 3.3kV/415V switchgear, VSDs, motors and control centers; isolate LV/HV circuits.
- Follow Work Instructions to complete scheduled/unscheduled work to tradesperson quality.
