Alcon seeks an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the reliability and performance of production and test equipment for ophthalmic diagnostic devices, including OCT systems. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/electronic faults, calibrate equipment, and assist in equipment upgrades in a medical device manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems in manufacturing, production, or test environments.
• Calibration/verification activities with traceability documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment to maximise uptime.
• Troubleshoot faults in production machinery, test fixtures, sensors, actuators, and control systems; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and requalification of new or upgraded equipment, including wiring and handover to production.
• Calibrate and verify measurement equipment and test rigs to ensure operation within specifications and traceability.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams; maintain accurate documentation.
• Support improvements to reliability, safety, and maintainability of equipment; implement changes.
• Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and quality expectations in a medical device environment.
