Role Description

CES Consulting is seeking a motivated Electrical Senior Designer/Consultant to join our Seattle area team. This is a full‑time, hybrid/on‑site role focused on designing resilient, efficient, and sustainable electrical solutions for a wide range of building projects including, but not limited to, life cycle renewal, building decarbonization, EV charging solutions, café food cooking electrification, and hardware & software computer lab projects. The role also includes providing owner’s representation and independent peer review services to help clients evaluate existing electrical infrastructure, assess design solutions, identify potential risks, and make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Hybrid workplace expectations include a minimum of three days per week on‑site in Redmond, WA. Initial onboarding and project needs may require additional on‑site days.

As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will develop electrical design concepts and programming, provide owner’s representation and technical advisory services, and assist facility teams to evaluate, plan, and implementing electrical infrastructure solutions. You will review electrical designs and documents for technical accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and alignment with project requirements, identifying risks and opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and long‑term value. Working closely with clients, facility stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, you will translate technical information into practical recommendations that support clients in making informed decisions. In addition to project delivery, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of project programs, internal processes, and team standards to promote consistency, quality, and continued growth.

A strong candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to colloborate effectively with technical teams and clients. This position requires fluency in industry‑specific technical terminology when working with fellow engineers, and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts and recommendations to nontechnical stakeholders. The successful applicant will be comfortable evaluating designs, exercising independent technical judgment, communicating findings, and coordinating project activities with a diverse range of stakeholders, including facility owners, engineers, contractors, and other consultants.
