Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Recognition as CPEng with Engineers Australia (incl. RPEQ) is desirable.
  • Experience in engineering practices – Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification & Validation.
  • Experience representing Engineering professional services to internal and external customers.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience (for those holding a University Degree).
  • Knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with ability to improve daily work.
  • Experience in product configuration control.
  • Availability for travel when required.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements that meet electrical safety parameters.
  • Engage in System Design activities, including trade studies, to ensure design artefacts are compatible with baselined product and consistent across subsystems.
  • Perform technical risk analysis to support hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk-mitigation actions.
  • Ensure assigned electrical systems and subsystems are developed and implemented according to standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver systems integration and mission support solutions.
