Job summary

Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide specialist electrical engineering support to the maintenance and operations functions at the Wodgina lithium site, located in Western Australia. You will develop maintenance strategies for fixed plant equipment and support upgrades and commissioning.

This role operates on an 8D6X roster flying from Perth and requires an electrical engineering degree, WA Electrical Worker’s Licence, and experience in mining or heavy

• WA Electrical Worker’s Licence is highly regarded.
• Experience in mining, resources or heavy industry—fixed plant exposure essential.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist engineering support for fixed plant electrical systems and equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies for optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve equipment failures to minimise downtime.
• Manage and oversee contractor works in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with standards, safety and environmental requirements.
• Participate in project commissioning, upgrades and modifications as required.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and root cause analyses.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will focus on providing electrical engineering expertise to the maintenance and operations functions on all fixed plant equipment, supporting the Wodgina Lithium operation.

This position will commence on an 8D6X roster flying from Perth.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide specialist engineering support for fixed plant electrical systems and equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies for optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve equipment failures, ensuring minimum downtime.
• Manage and oversee contractor works in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, including site safety and environmental requirements.
• Participate in project commissioning, upgrades, and modifications as required.

What is Required:

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent recognised qualification.
• WA Electrical Worker’s Licence (highly regarded).
• Previous experience in a similar role within mining, resources, or heavy industry—fixed plant exposure essential.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, maintenance, and troubleshooting in mineral processing environments.
• Commitment to safe work practices, strong communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated experience with relevant statutory compliance and safety regulations.
• High level of teamwork, problem-solving, and organisational ability.
