With South Australia experiencing significant investment, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering major projects across the mining, water, renewables and defence sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join Aurecon's dynamic Energy & Industrial team as an Electrical Engineer, where your passion and innovation will thrive. You'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile national defence projects, major mining projects and large infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with industrial clients and gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of challenging and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will help bring ideas to life by producing both concept and detailed designs aligned with client needs. You'll use your problem‑solving skills to create innovative solutions and collaborate on large, multidisciplinary projects to deliver fully coordinated outcomes. Safety is a priority, and you'll apply Safe Design principles to your daily tasks. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the quality of output for engineering design deliverables, mentoring junior engineers, and providing design support across areas such as LV and MV power distribution or industrial processes and instrumentation.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
  • A relevant electrical engineering qualification and eligibility for Chartered status with Engineers Australia or demonstrated effort in working towards this.
  • Detailed electrical design experience; some design management experience preferred.
  • Experience in medium / high voltage, low voltage, instrumentation, control systems, or process.
  • Knowledge of engineering design software such as ETAP, PowerCad, CDEGS, etc. is preferred.
