Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Design professional to deliver detailed electrical designs for underground mining and transport projects. You will lead 2D drafting and 3D modelling, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with Australian standards.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, mentorship, and timely delivery across project lifecycles. You will work within a multidisciplinary team for surface and underground systems, including material handling,

Qualifications

Demonstrated autonomous work on complex electrical design tasks.
Experience with underground hard rock mining environments.
Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modelling with low error rates.
Strong collaboration and communication to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

Produce/deliver detailed electrical designs, layouts, and drawings in accordance with standards and codes.
Develop 3D plant models and perform clash detection.
Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines.
Manage drawing registers, deliverables, and documentation workflow.
Provide mentorship to cadet and intermediate designers.
