Job summary

Mayday Recruitment is seeking an industrial electrician for on‑site field service across Sydney’s industrial sites, servicing overhead cranes, gantries, hoists and lifting equipment.

You will perform electrical fault finding, breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and inspections, plus testing and commissioning of crane systems. Training is provided and the role includes a company vehicle and overtime benefits.

Qualifications

• Cert 3 Electrotechnology or equivalent.
• Electrical Licence or Provisional Electrical Licence.
• Experience within industrial maintenance, field service, automation, materials handling, conveyors, mining or heavy industry.
• PLC fault finding experience.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
• Breakdown response and emergency repairs.
• Preventative maintenance and inspections; Testing and commissioning of crane systems.
• Working with PLCs, motors, contactors, VSDs, limit switches and control systems.
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.

Benefits

• Permanent full-time position, Mon - Fri: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• $53-58 per hour depending on experience
• Company vehicle, fuel card + tolls
• GUARANTEED OVERTIME
• Work 50-55 hours per week and earn $150k-185k + super
• Rotating on-call roster (Average 3 weeks per year) with additional penalties
• Autonomous field service role with strong support from an experienced team
• Sponsorship considered for suitable candidates

The Role

This is a field service position working across a variety of industrial sites, you will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, gantries, hoists and associated lifting equipment.
