Job summary

CAI is seeking a senior Electrical Testing & Commissioning professional in Sydney to lead onsite commissioning activities, develop project-specific documents, and coordinate with vendors and the client team. You will deliver technical reports, provide commentary on drawings, and steer multiple discipline leads to ensure project objectives are met.

The ideal candidate holds an electrical engineering degree, 3–6 years' experience in commissioning, and a White Card.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical professional with a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning with leadership responsibilities.
• White Card (CPCWHS10001) is required for Australia.
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure and electrical systems.
• Data Centre experience is preferred but not required.
• Willing to work flexible hours per project demand.
• Passport-ready or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• To work alongside the client and/or General Contractor’s team in developing commissioning frameworks that align with the project objectives.
• To lead the team onsite in the execution of commissioning activities.
• To develop project-specific commissioning management/validation documents and procedures.
• Lead project commissioning meetings and be confident in your delivery.
• Develop and prepare reports that include technical content, progress, and issue resolution.
• Provide technical commentary on drawings, manuals, and technical submittals.
• Assign tasks to other discipline leads and manage their progress.
• Vendor coordination and management.
• Produce safety documentation and monthly safety reporting as part of CAI Safety culture.
• Provide consultative advice on commissioning strategies and methodologies.
